2019 National Park Campsite Booking Dates
If you've spent anytime trying to book a last-minute campsite on Recreation.gov, you've had that moment where it feels like the website is mocking you: “Campsite books up to six months in advance.”
Thanks. Sure wish I could've been spontaneous five months and two weeks ago...
Even if camping is something you love, thinking six months in advance can be hard for anything. Honestly, is anyone thinking about Summer Break two weeks before Christmas? So we decided to make a list of major holidays and their half-birthdays to help you get ahead of the game. As a bonus, usually you can book dates more than six months ahead if they’re consecutive with six months out.

Yosemite 2019 Holidays
Yosemite is its own beast. Instead of the six-month reservation period, Yosemite has a four-month schedule that releases one month at a time on the 15th.
For example, on January 15, you can reserve May 15-June 14. On February 15, June 15-July 14. At precisely 10am eastern time, you can login to reserve a spot.
And we mean precisely.
More than once we’ve tried to book a site during peak season in Yosemite Valley and been shut out. We usually use two computers and have a third one ready to book at a site outside the Valley.
